Port Andratx Mallorca
The small fishing village of Port Andratx (also spelled Port d’Andratx and Puerto de Andratx) is located in the outer southwest of Mallorca, about 5 km from the town of Andratx. Port Andratx properties are the first choice for many wealthy Germans when it comes to buying a property. Meanwhile, the small village is even considered the most popular harbour town on the island.
Port Andratx is a very quiet and relatively small town; according to the residents’ registration office, there are just 3000 people registered there. The town is particularly well known and sought after for its beautiful natural harbour and its large marinas. Up to 220 yachts can moor in the “Puerto de Andratx” facility, and the adjacent “Club de Vela Puerto de Andratx” harbour facility has an additional 470 berths. The harbour and the mountain backdrop of the Tramuntana Mountains (Serra de Tramuntana) dominate the townscape.
The beautiful and at the same time quiet scenery that the harbour town offers makes it lucrative for many people interested in real estate. Especially wealthy Germans who want to experience Mallorca in a natural atmosphere appreciate Port Andratx properties.
